Christ's Table's mission is to Feed the Hungry Children of God. We travel to Zanesville several times per year. In winter, we deliver coats and other warm weather gear. In summer, we hand out hygiene kits, often staying overnight to participate in other mission projects in the area. On the day after Thanksgiving, we volunteer in the kitchen to give some of the staff a well-earned day off. Each time we visit, volunteers assist with packaging and delivering homebound meals as well as serving lunch.
The Daily Needs Assistance (D.N.A. Center) is a nonprofit organization intent on touching real physical and spiritual needs in the Plain City area. New Cally has volunteered for many years to cook and serve their free Saturday Pancake Breakfast, as well as providing meals for their various mission events and volunteering as needs arise. The church has also housed their Kids Kloset storage area while they search for a new permanent building home.
Sunday School
Adult Sunday School and Children's Sunday School begins at 9:15am throughout the school year. The first Sunday of the month we host God's One Family Gathering, where all ages participate in Sunday School learning, songs, and fun activities together, along with a breakfast. We invite you to join us!
Our Missionaries
We take seriously God’s command to go beyond our walls. We sponsor the following missionaries:
- The Chang Family , who serves in Alaska
- The Palmer Family, who serves the world from their home base in North Carolina.
Alaska Mission Trip
In June, 2024, we’ll be sending a group to help the Chang family in Kake, Alaska. There will be plenty of ways you can help, from going on the trip to helping to order supplies, to helping in fundraising.
Community Mission
You’ll find us at various events, such as the Plain City Fourth of July Parade, Plain City Fall Fest, handing out Christmas baskets, and Christmas Under the Clock.
Compassion International
Currently we sponsor 2 children through Compassion International with monthly monetary assistance and letter writing.
Children/Youth Events
From VBS to the Gingerbread Bash; from Trunk or Treat to helping in Junior Church we want to grow offering opportunities for children and youth to grow in Christ and develop leadership possibilities.
World Renew
World Renew partners with local churches and organizations around the world to bring life-changing programs that transform communities in every area of need. New Cally donates to their Village Savings and Loan program in Africa, which provides loans to lower-income communities that do not have access to banks or other financial institutions. The goal is to help improve people's financial independence so they are able to care for their families and achieve their dreams.
