Ministry Teams

Congregational Life Team - Promote healthy Christian

lifestyle within the church and community through Christian education and programing and family focused activities. Remember to evaluate activity ideas to make sure they further the mission of the church.

​​Care Team - Provide ministry to the shut-ins, the sick, and to each family unit of the church through visiting, calling, sending cards, and praying. Maintain communication between the church and covenant partners to provide practical and compassionate care support.

Outreach - Works with local missions such as Plain City Food Pantry, Christ's Table in Zanesville, and Plain City Presbyterian Fellowship. Ministers to those Covenant Partners unable to attend and works to invite potential families to the church. On behalf of the Session, equip the Congregation in matters of mission, evangelism, events and ministries designed to serve

beyond the walls of New Cally.

Building & Grounds - Implements policies of the Session and works on the care and maintenance of the building itself, inside and out including sewer, water, electrical, and HVAC. They also pay special attention to safety equipment and devices, exit signs, lighting, handicap ramp, ingress and egress, and fire alarm functions.

Stewardship - Consists of the church Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and two Covenant Partners of the congregation. The team submits an annual budget to the session along with explanations of changes from the year before for approval. The team leader attends monthly session meetings to report on current church finances and seeks approval for any budget adjustments that may be needed.

Hospitality - Organizes and hosts special receptions (baptisms, graduations, new Covenant Partners), funeral dinners, potlucks, dessert buffets, etc... They also make sure there is a host for the weekly fellowship time, as well as coordinate with Friendship Circle for kitchen supplies.

Children, Youth, and Family - Promote Youth Sunday School, as well as providing and being a part of the community events to reach new families.

Crochet/Knitting - The Knitting and Crocheting group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 2:00 PM in Fellowship Hall. If local schools are canceled due to weather, the group will not meet. The group supports Christ's Table with hats and scarves. They also support the Birthing Center in the Philippines with newborn hats. The group is open to anyone that wants to come regardless of skill level.
